Angie is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). She has completed all levels of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountant's In-depth Tax Course, and several advanced tax courses (reorganizations, estate planning and international tax). She has almost 30 years of experience working as a tax professional advising clients on a broad range of matters including succession and estate planning, transitioning the family business to the next generation, buying and selling businesses, corporate reorganizations, cross border tax and high net worth planning. She began her accounting career at a national accounting firm in Toronto and worked in Montreal, London (England) and Brisbane (Australia) before returning to Thunder Bay.

Angie is a proud alum of Lakehead University and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. She served as the Chair of Lakehead University's Board of Governors from 2020 to 2022, and is currently the Past Chair of the Board.

Angie believes in the importance of giving back to our community and has served in various leadership roles on the boards of the Ontario Arts Council, Magnus Theatre, the Institute of Italian Studies and Women in Politics. She held leadership roles in the major capital campaigns of the Thunder Bay Art Gallery (new Waterfront Gallery) and Magnus Theatre (Waverley Park). She is a former Kiwanian.

Angie is a true Northerner at heart and enjoys spending time with her husband in the great outdoors – hiking, cross country skiing, gardening and camping. She loves to travel and photograph all their adventures.
